I used to play a Fender Jazzmaster thru a Band Master with a JBL 15, etc in a rock band in 1965 for 5 years. My next guitar was going to be a Tele, but the band broke up and I sold everything. Then, nothing until I began pedal steel in 2005. I love the Tele sound, but I think I am now a Steel Player, rather than a lead guitar player. I don't think I have enough time to spend relearning guitar & the steel. I can't lose focus on the steel. The steel is certainly enough of a challenge at 63 yrs old.
