In building lap steels, do you suggest that I put in compensated or adjustable bridges ?

i tune my e's 440.my G sharp -6cents
then harmonicly tune the rest. my guitar is a new excel u-12 and the manufacture put compensators in for my 4th and 6th strings.i have not put any compensators in for my f sharps yet but am considering it.for me the high g sharp sets things up from there i will tune my c sharp to my g sharp and so on hope this helps someone.

I just don't think this will work. I've tried it, not too my liking. Tune straight up A440 and use compensator rods

too adjust for neck drop, Or as some say, D-tuners on the Es, The tuner bushings will just touch the tuning  fingers to allow for "body bend" or neck drop. Don't trust me, Trust your ear & electronics.

In order for these to work correctly you should know what the strings where tuned to open.  Example 440, 441 etc.
