where steel guitar players connect

Comment by Steven "Red Rogers" Graves on December 17, 2012 at 10:06am In building lap steels, do you suggest that I put in compensated or adjustable bridges ?
Comment by Roger D. Henson on October 22, 2012 at 1:38pm I just don't think this will work. I've tried it, not too my liking. Tune straight up A440 and use compensator rods
too adjust for neck drop, Or as some say, D-tuners on the Es, The tuner bushings will just touch the tuning fingers to allow for "body bend" or neck drop. Don't trust me, Trust your ear & electronics.
Thanks
compensate
Comment by Hank Ruf on October 20, 2012 at 9:48am In order for these to work correctly you should know what the strings where tuned to open. Example 440, 441 etc.
