an old dream from somewhere
between ’75 and ’78 came back to haunt me;
I wanted to try my hand at the Pedal Steel Guitar.
To my surprise, I found a single-neck Fender
in the 90s at the home of a musician friend,
although nothing constructive emerged
until the arrival of Internet and the build-up
of vital contacts.
At long last, in April 2002, a successful replacement
was found to release me from my position
as lead guitar in the Blue Shadows group.
In the month of November of the same year,
I purchased a double-neck WBS Pedal Steel
and began to explore,
and continue to explore, a whole new world.
Hi Bernard. I've just got back from St.Louis - there were three or four from France there. Yes it will not be long to Ireland now. I look forward to seeing you again. It should be another good weekend. Au revoir Mike
Hi Bernard, Thanks for the friend request. As a matter of interest, I have visited France on 4 occasions with friends from South Africa. Each time we hire a river boat with typically three cabins and spend 10/11 days cruising on a canal or river. So far, we have been in Burgundy, Canal du Midi, Loire Lateral, and Brittany. We are tentatively planning another trip for 2011, but have not yet decided what region we are going to visit yet. I love France, and have always found the people to be most helpful and friendly. I have not yet listened to your recordings. I am out of megabytes for Aug, but Sept is only a couple of days away. Best Wishes, Sez
