My Steel Guitar Biography

Hi, I' m Chuck Christensen from Addison, Illinois. I' ve been playing guitar since I was a kid. There was an Oahu Method to learn how to play at that time, and also the Mastertone System by Gibson of Kalamazoo, Mich. I picked the Gibson system because you learned to read notes, the Oahu method was play by number similar to tab today, I'm glad I learned to read notes it has helped a lot. The Wm.J. Smith method used notes and numbers also at that time.
