Steven "Red Rogers" Graves said… Sure can rout from the back but surface mounting the pickup I have to raise all the hardware to get the strings to coil distance correct. I want to keep everything as close to the body and fretboard as possible so I might have to rout the pickup frame into the top instead of surface mounting. I'll come up with something to save all that nice curl. I don't even want to put a fretboard if I don't have to. Maybe just markings silk screened on the body.
Steven "Red Rogers" Graves said… Great tune. Hope we get to play again soon. Your "S6 Jet Fighter" is underway in the shop. What ideas did you have for the tuners? I love all the curly maple and hate to cover any of it up but I'm gonna have to rout some pockets in it for electronics and install a fretboard.
