I've asked this question before but never got a definitive answer. I've got an 1974 Emmons D-10/8/4 push/pull that has severe crackling(alligatoring) and am thinking of having it refinished. WilIfl this hurt or help the resale value of this equipment? If it will help, does anyone know of a reputable refinisher in the Central Florida area?. - My first steel was a Lil' Buddy which some lowlife relieved me of by breaking into my car. Luckily I had just been transferred to Goldsboro, NC where I got my 1974 Emmons D-10/8/4 that I've attempted to learn ever since. It's travelled with me from NC, Il, Fl and even Saudi Arabia for Desert Storm.
