where steel guitar players connect
At the end of one of our friday afternoon creative playing sessions, my friend Harry asked me to repeat the instrumental I was playing while he packed his guitar, so he could "Zoom" around with his Q3HD to record it.
This is the "unshaved" short version of the Buddy Emmons instrumental "Blue Jade", played on my MSA "The Universal" 12-string pedal steel guitar, using a Peavey Session 500** amp and a TC Electronic M350 effect/reverb processor.
** The original Black Widow speaker has been replaced with an italian Faital Pro 15PR400 neodymium speaker. It's 400 Watts with a frequency response curve very similar to the original Peavey 15" BW and reduces teh overall weight of the amp quite a bit.
